The new architectural concept for Gelato Borelli stores was developed with the goal of enhancing the customer experience while reinforcing the brand’s identity as a pioneer in the artisanal gelato segment. The project aimed to create environments that not only highlight the products but also immerse customers in the brand’s history and values.
The primary objective of the project is to optimize store space to improve both operational efficiency and customer experience. The architecture was designed to establish an intelligent flow between service and production while organically conveying the artisanal essence of Gelato Borelli. The store should visually communicate the product’s quality without the need for verbal explanations, using architectural elements that evoke the tradition and freshness of Italian gelato.
The project consists of a strategic layout that maximizes space utilization, enhancing functionality and fluidity between the production and service areas. The arrangement of architectural elements translates the brand’s narrative, with store ambiance combining textures and colors to evoke the warmth of a “little piece of Italy.” These elements, aligned with the aroma of freshly made cones and open-view preparation windows, provide an immersive multisensory experience.
The architecture of Gelato Borelli stores was designed to democratize haute cuisine, creating a welcoming environment that is accessible to all audiences while maintaining the exclusivity of a premium brand. The careful execution of the project resulted in spaces that not only optimize operations but also engage customers in an immersive experience.
